The M‑254 is a multi‑functional integrated sensor designed for automatic door systems. It operates by emitting active infrared beams to establish a defined detection zone in front of the automatic door. When a pedestrian enters or approaches the activation zone, the sensor sends a signal to the door controller, triggering the door to open. Should a pedestrian remain within the door leaf movement area, the sensor continuously signals the controller to keep the door fully open, preventing it from closing and thereby avoiding potential injury.
Integrated design – suitable for automatic sliding door systems.
Infrared detection technology – enables zone‑based presence detection for both activation and safety functions.
Infrared vs. microwave – while microwave sensors offer a wider coverage area, infrared provides more precise and clearly defined detection zones.
Adjustable detection range and sensitivity – with adaptive background environment compensation.
Relay output – configurable as normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC).
